Erik Lönroth holds a M.Sc. in Computer Science and is the Technical Responsible for the HPC area at Scania. He has been leading the technical development of four generations of super computing initiatives at Scania and their supporting subsystems.
Erik is frequently lecturing on development of super computer environments for industry, open source software governance and HPC related topics.
Abstract
Industry is reaching a point where provisioning and optimizing performance of machines are no longer a challenge. To leverage HPC to get market edge, our ambitions are to find new ways of working with application experts, software developers and HPC system experts together. Erik will be sharing thoughts and challenges that Scania faces in this development.
