Abstract

Effective CAE assessment of crashworthiness requires not only comprehensive material models; local effects introduced by the manufacturing process should also be considered.
This presentation shows how the predictive material model MF GenYld + CrachFEM can incorporate the process history from cold forming of sheets, from Mg high-pressure die casting and from mould-injection of polymers.
