Abstract

This presentation describes a methodology developed by CRF that aims to integrate the predicted geometric distortions generated by the foundry process with the assembly phase simulation, in order to verify the geometric tolerances.
The reference component is the inner door frame of an FGA car model, produced by High Pressure Die Casting.
The selected component material is an Aluminium alloy, AlMg5Si2 Mn. The virtual analysis is run using MagmaSoft HPDC module.
