Fisker was born when founders Henrik Fisker and Bernhard Koehler surveyed the existing automotive landscape and found it built upon history, a history that was defined by limitations. Henrik Fisker and Bernhard Koehler, who share over 51 years of combined experience in the automotive world, decided to forge a new and radical perspective on what is possible in the automotive world. They concluded that reinvention is no substitute for a fresh start so they started with a clean sheet of paper. In 2007, they founded Fisker Automotive, a true automobile manufacturer which introduced the world's first premium hybrid electric vehicle, the Fisker Karma. An American company, the orange and blue in the Fisker logo represent a California sunset over the Pacific Ocean. The vertical bars represent the designer's pen (Henrik Fisker) and the creator's tools (Bernhard Koehler).

The Race Up Team is composed by almost 40 students of University of Padova. Every year, these students choose to spend a lot of time, including saturdays, sundays, nights and holidays, without economic benefits or scolastic ones, trying with efforts and passion to build and promote a sport car. This car represents University of Padova and our sponsors in European tournaments. The Race UP project consists of building a single seat car with uncovered wheels, following a specific set of rules in order to take part in specific competitions suitable for this kind of cars. he Race UP Team works with some financial contribution from the University of Padova and with the aid of external sponsor, companies that helps us with financial or components donations.

mario negri

The Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research is a not-for-profit biomedical research organization. It was founded in 1961, and started work in Milan on 1 February 1963. There are now research units in Bergamo, at Ranica – near Bergamo – and at Santa Maria Imbaro, near Chieti. The Institute’s main aim is to help defend human health and life. To achieve this goal, we need a fuller understanding of the innermost workings of living organisms; we need to know why diseases arise, and what happens inside an organism when foreign substances enter it. The Institute’s research programs therefore span from the molecular level to the whole human being, and the findings help build up the basis for developing new drugs, and making existing ones more effective.

Sharc is the developer of Harpoon, Submarine and Periscope, the revolutionary meshing, solver interface and visualisation software. Harpoon is a fully automatic body fitted Hex-Dominant and Polyhedral mesher. Turn-round times from CAD to CFD solutions are reduced by orders of magnitude for complex geometry. The automatic generation of volume meshes and surface meshes in one run by-passes the need for time consuming surface mesh generation and grid density specification. Submarine combines the powerful meshing capabilities of Harpoon with solvers such as OpenFOAM and Fluent, to produce a single, simple environment for meshing, solving and visualising complex CFD problems. Submarine provides advanced post-processing features to analyse the flow features from your solver of choice. Periscope is the industry leading visualisation package for CFD in terms of speed and ease of use. Advanced features include parallel-processing, flow-feature extraction and movie creation through an intuitive GUI or in batch via extremely simple scripting. Periscope is complimented by our free to use viewer Periview, allowing users to interact with even their largest datasets on the most basic laptops. This is enabled through use of revolutionary database formats.
